Multiple OS
How many server Operating Systems can you choose from?
Each and every desktop or notebook or server is run by an Operating System - the low-level program that interacts with the hardware equipment, including peripherals such as a mouse and a printer, as well as any apps that are currently installed on the system. Any program input through a command line or a Graphical User Interface (GUI) is processed by sending an Application Program Interface (API) request to the Operating System. On a web server, every single app runs within the parameters specified by the OS as well - priority, physical memory, processing time, and so on. This goes for both standard site scripts and server-side software like a media server. If a virtual server is generated on a physical one, there can be two independent Operating Systems, called guest OS and host OS, which means that you can set up a different software environment on the same machine.

Multiple OS in VPS Servers
We offer you as many as three different Linux releases for the Operating System of our
VPS servers - Debian, CentOS and Ubuntu. These are some of the safest and the most reliable OSs available and we supply all 3 rather than only one since we realize that you may want to set up some software that has specific requirements regarding the Operating System it will run on. The latter is because each of the three Operating Systems has a large support community behind it and there're various software packages you could install on the web server. Your OS choice will also determine what hosting Control Panel can be installed on the VPS if you wish to use one and that's why we offer several Control Panels as well. In case you decide that you need some other OS, our tech support can quickly wipe the present one and install the one that you'd like. We also offer an optional service to maintain the OS on your VPS updated weekly.

Multiple OS in Dedicated Servers
In case you decide to purchase one of our
dedicated servers, you'll find three Operating Systems on the registration page as we want to give you a larger choice for the system environment on the server as different applications could have specific requirements. CentOS, Ubuntu and Debian come with different modules developed by their large support communities, so you can select each of these OSs and enjoy a reliable and safe web hosting service. Based on your choice, you will also have different Control Panels to choose from. Of course, we can always change the Operating System in case the one you've selected initially doesn't meet the requirements of the software which you want to run. We can also upgrade your OS routinely to keep it as secure as possible using our Managed Services upgrade package.
